Together with the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Proximus started initial exploratory tests in 2012. Tessares (a spin-off from UCL) and Proximus are pioneers in developing telco-grade software solutions based on the “Multipath TCP” standard. Our aim is to create a generic solution intended for telecom operators worldwide. This will allow them to combine the speeds of fixed and mobile networks on their existing network infrastructure, or even to combine the speeds of several fixed lines.
